Pediatric Brain Science Made Simple
I was contracted by ChildFund International to write and design a brief on the health effects of violence against children and the emerging science of epigenetics. A member of the Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) Taskforce, the piece advanced ChildFund's leadership role in child protection.

Gubernatorial Policy Advocacy
As the US midterm elections approached in 2018, Spitfire Strategies contracted me to research and write letters of welcome for nearly 20 incumbent or incoming governors. On behalf of Ascend at the Aspen Institute, each letter outlined state-specific policy recommendations related to programming for women and children. The letters were a starting point for Ascend's engagement with state governments.

Youth-centered design
Launching a US Agency for International Development (USAID), three million dollar waste management project in Cambodia, the Institute for Development Impact (I4DI) contracted me to write and design a one-pager for distribution. As Tech for Green Cities relied on a mobile app for reporting waste problems, early adoption by young people was critical. The text and the creative visuals were created to draw youth in and encourage them to join in the effort.

Fundraising
Historical preservation grantwriting
I was engaged by an education institution to write a grant template for use in a fundraising effort for a historical preservation project, namely a home in which Thomas Edison once lived and its grounds. The template made clear the project's aims and its significance today and in the future but could be easily adapted to reflect donors' diverse interests.
